We were all devastated with the news of the burning of the Amazon rainforest.
Cattle ranching for industrial meat and dairy was and still is the leading cause of Amazon deforestation. Fire is a common method of deforestation in the Amazon – cattle ranchers start fires to clear the land to make way for farming.
The Amazon rainforest helps regulate the climate and is home to millions of people – many of whom are Indigenous – and a huge percentage of the world’s remaining biodiversity. Despite its importance, the Amazon is under serious threat from rapidly increasing deforestation, mainly due to fires set by farmers for the expansion of industrial meat.
We at SEVDA LONDON care deeply about our forests. We commit to source responsibly all materials used in the production of our products to reduce the potential negative environmental impacts of our business.
We have fully committed to sourcing only “deforestation-free leather”.
In fact, our leather is ethically sourced from our partner tannery in Italy, gold-rated by The Leather Working Group, offering traceability of the European skins and assurances the leather hasn’t contributed to deforestation.
We at SEVDA LONDON are proud of our conscious efforts on sourcing from responsible and well-managed sources.

The 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a plan to create a better and more sustainable future for all. Established by the United Nations, the SDGs are an urgent call to action and global partnership among all countries.
Sustainable development entails seeking out solutions that not only boost the economic outcomes of developing and poorer nations, but also working to to limit (or eliminate) our impact on the planet. Trees are one such solution.
We consciously choose to align our strategy and our goals with with these SDGs;
Nevertheless, our partnership with One Tree Planted and planting trees help support all of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
